Italian Course Levels (CEFR)
We offer courses for all levels of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages):
We prepare our students for the following language certifications:
PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri): Certificates issued by the Dante Alighieri Organisation and recognised internationally. Successful completion of the exam indicates that the candidate has the necessary skills to communicate effectively in Italian.
CILS (Certificazione di Italianocome Lingua Straniera): Certificates issued by the Università per Stranieridi Siena (University for Foreigners of Siena) and they are also recognised internationally. They can be used for admission to Italian universities or for professional purposes.
CELI (Certificazioni di Lingua Italiana): Certificates that are issued by the Università per Stranieridi Perugia (University for Foreigners of Perugia) and they are recognised internationally. They prove that the candidate has a level of language proficiency that allows him/her to communicate effectively in Italian in practical everyday situations.
AIL (Accademia Italiana di Lingua): Language certificates issued by the Accademia Italiana di Lingua. AIL diplomas cover different levels of language proficiency, from beginners to advanced, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
These certificates and exams are internationally recognised and they are used for academic, professional or personal purposes. The choice of the appropriate test depends on the goals and needs of each individual.
